.

*EDIT* This fix is outdated. Use new update zip here

This zip fixes the camera, camcorder, playback of local video files, video streaming apps like youtube and netflix, and Torch . Should work on all cm4dx builds.

Install in clockworkmod recovery. No mounting or wiping needed.

All camcorder modes work, but the "high" setting records in 480p instead of 720p. I will attempt to work on this so that we can have our beloved 720p video quality back. In the mean time, the 480p looks fantastic and i'm happy to have this feature back.

I owe many thanks to RevNumbers for pushing me in the right direction to figure the camcorder and Torch fix out. Also thanks to SyNiK4L and BrentBlend for helping and testing this out.

Beautiful! Don't suppose this also fixes AVI playback as a side effect?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see it says local playback ..hope that means what I think!

I just switched to CM7 yesterday and really love it! I jumped right to nightly 17 and now the camcorder fix makes it great! Thank you for the great job with the fix!!

On a side note, I just wish the themes didn't break WidgetLocker. Oh well. I am very glad to have that extra 100mb or so of free RAM that used to be occupied by the Blur framework.

avi's wont play on any cm7 roms or any aosp roms. you have to use an app on the market. there are tons of them. vplayer or rockplayer are popular ones.

I couldn't get them to play with Meridian either, which normally plays very nice with AVI, MP4, FLV, MKV and almost any other format I threw at it. Rockplayer's not too bad
