CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
 */

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

This release might make me dust off my Droid and and use it as my primary again. Great job! If only the X2 had CM7 I'd be a happy man indeed.

HELP PLEASE!!!!

I don't know if this is ROM related or not. I installed this ROM on my hubby's OG Droid. He is unable to play a video from a website. He has the most current Flash Player 11 installed. What could be missing, or what could I do to allow him to play a video from a website? Could it be something in the browser? Should I try a different browser other than the regular android browser?

PITA from my trials & errors you tube or any Videos not working on a Custom is Usually but NOT Always a Kernel issue.
Try a diff kernel & see if that fixes your issue.

I just noticed I've never posted on this site b4 but don't let that fool you. I've been flashing phones for 3+ yrs & a Authorized deal for several carriers so
I didn't just start. I'm not saying I am the best or that I know everything cause I am FAR from the best & no where near knowing everything but I do have a decent knowledge base.

On my Fascinate flashed with CM10 I'm able to make the alarm screensaver dark. I can't seem to be able to adjust it on my Droid CM7. Wondering if it's possible to reduce the CM7 screensaver brightness?

EDIT: it seems like making the alarm clock on CM7 dark makes the screensaver a bit darker.
