Source:
Mod Type: ROM     Difficulty: Easy     Mod Status: Kang     Mod Base: Other     Carrier: Verizon
Requires Root: Yes     Apply In: CWM Recovery     Optional: Custom Settings     Optional: Custom Settings     Android Version: 4.0.4 (ICS)

This is a kang of x13thangelx's AOKP b39 port.

Thanks to 1loudsvt, Eiht, x13thangelx, all developers who did anything to ICS on these devices, and all the developers who made the apps I included. I included a lot and there were a lot of people involved in the apps. If you want to thank those devs feel free to donate to them in the play store or track down them on the forums. Thanks to the android and linux communities for being so open and constantly growing.

Screenshot_2013-02-12-11-17-54.png Screenshot_2013-02-14-12-13-36.png

Includes:
  • Our Kang tweaks both build.prop and init.d(including cron to wipe cache twice daily)
  • Latest Gapps are included
  • Chrome Beta
  • MIUI v17 camera(for video) along with factory camera. You may uninstall whichever you don't want to use.
  • Jellybean 4.2 keyboard
  • Nexus 4 ringtones/notifications/alarms
  • Google Now-Online version - mikeyxda
  • bootmenu - Wizard0f0s
  • RootBrowser-Free from JRummy16 (full version provided for free)
  • RomToolboxLite - Jrummy16
  • SuperSU - Chainfire
  • RomManager
  • Nova Launcher
  • Seeder - lambgx02
  • edited framework and custom fonts
Because of everything added and taken away some of the less essential apps were moved to /data/app instead of /system/app. This shouldn't effect the operation of anything. But you need to know this in case you decide it would be a good idea to "wipe data/factory reset" then wonder where xx app went.

Bugs:
All typical ICS bugs... Netflix, Camcorder/Panarama, built-in wifi/usb tether
Wifi "add network" FCs...trying to figure that out
Start up tweaks in rom control may or may not work. This ROM has start up tweaks I made and this setting control is not needed.

Changelog:
2.5
13kernel edited, Chrome beta added, MIUI v17 camera added
2.2
Fixed a line in 13kernel that was causing a hang I was experiencing. Edited romcontrol so that the init.d option no longer works. It will FC if you select it. It was interferring with my tweaks.
2.1.1
added apollo, changed lockring to a "more coolerer" one, bootanimation changed to one I found more epic. Also updated init.d kernel script to match the others. Provides a fairly smooth experience so far.
2.1
init.d changes again, framework edits, custom font
2.0
edited init.d tweaks for smoother daily use. Fixed poweramp issue. switched out themes for cm9 based themes. google play music should work. moved some apps to data to clear up some more space.
1.8
Supersu updated, lag fix in init.d/build.prop, pimpmybeats, supersu-nonag, removed regular superuser, included 2 holo themes.
1.5
Updated SuperSU, Updated gapps, Updater seeder, rearranged app folders, fixed init.d script, updated build.prop

You are cranking these out Dubbs. Any way we could get you to work on a proper port of JB?

Or say a monthly/occasional CM7+cherry picks kang like Nis/Spitemare or Taichi did? At least there's no real bugs to complain about there. ;)

I've already been working on it. But it's not as cut and dry as these kangs are. Kangs are just making something different from something else that already works(or mostly works). I imagine JB if I ever get it working, will take awhile.

Since moving to ICS I haven't been interested in going back to GB. I know many go back for battery savings and stability, which is understandable. Some go back for "performance gains." I just think ICS/JB are prettier and more fun. And we've proven you can get the performance from ICS...

GB battery life is the bomb. I got 4 days one time with a GB ROM. But really you dont need that type of battery life unless youre going on an extended trip where youre away from a charger for a long time.

I have a charger in my car and my house so really no need for me to have ridiculous battery life.

Part of my daily routine is putting my phone and a usb data cable in my left pants pocket.

If I am near my gadget bag I have 2 1400mah batteries and 2 3500mah batteries, a droid 2 global for testing, a wall charger, a car charger, 2 usb cables, and various other computer stuff. :-D

I've already changed all the UI settings. I themed it back to system to take the pics. But the clock changes, circle battery, and traditional statusbar layout are all settings in rom control.

Clock widget is built in. Text widgets are minimalistictext. Bench was done with auto-brightness set, full sync on dropbox, facebook, google+, google drive, groupme, and my 2 hockey apps. :-)
