I just uploaded two brand new mobile-use kernels for stock JB 4.2.x + CM10.1.
These kernels have been thoroughly tested and are super stable.
I suggest all mobile-use kernel users to upgrade. Enjoy.

Download version 2013-01-20: http://mehrvarz.gith...-download-page/
You may need to hit reload to get the new links.

Btw: 11,001 views in under a month. Just saying.

That drawing helps explain it even better. Perhaps it would be worthwhile adding that pic that to your blog comments (where you discuss the 2 hub powering options)?

Yes, and better late than never: http://mehrvarz.gith...-nexus7/#usbhub

timur: can you upload 2013-01-20 for CyanongenMod 10.1 FI? or are there no changes for FI?

I also want to see if you can tell me how to compile your kernel with FI settings - I need to patch the cdc-ncm.c file to recognize my t-mobile hotspot. My Jeep FI is a big project but will be super sweet if I can get it completed. I also need to make sure my usb rs232 dongles to control the HD Radio tuner are in there.

Whoa whoa, you are using a serial to USB adapter to get HD radio? I am very interested in this now.

I can also confirm his grabfocus app works as expected. Also, doing some Tasker magic accomplishes the same thing so either route is possible right now. Ideally nothing would be needed but this is a work around for now.

Several HD Radios can be controlled from a standard RS232 cable, including the Directed "car connect
HD radio. http://www.amazon.co...r/dp/B000MLPIZY It comes with a control pad thing, but you can use a usb to serial adapter to control it instead, and audio will come out the RCA jacks.

An even better solution (and what I am about to attempt) would be to use mp3car's BoomzBox HD Radio, since it outputs sound through the usb connection. So you wouldn't even need to switch sources, sound would come into the Nexus 7 through the usb port, then out through the DAC. It should be simple to write an app to control it, but I have no idea if we can get usb audio IN, then usb audio OUT through the DAC. There is a thread discussing the BoomzBox here: http://www.mp3car.co...ess-report.html

That would be awesome! And would be easy to install, plug in USB, load an app and its done! Just need a Android app and the correct kernel stuff (if not already there)

The Directed is the one I'm using - since I'm using the Behringer DCA202 as my DAC, I'm just connecting the line out of that to the line in of the DAC and throw the switch to enable monitor mode.

Anyway I think we've got a fix for the pause issue, the grabfocus is working great for me. Now I just need to figure out how we integrate the fix.

Regarding Usb DAB radio, I've got one if these (http://digitalnow.co...ages/Dabby.html)
I'm happy to try plug it in and report what dmesg output occurs. I've read some posts claiming people have successfully installed this REALTEK chipset in Linux.

The manual says the monitor switch only routes the input side of the DAC to the headphones and not the output pre-amp side. Is that correct?

Anyone tried one of these for the DAC? http://highresolutio...sic-streamer-ii I want to get one without a volume control and plug it into a half-din equalizer. That way I get fader, sub level control, parametric eq, aux input, and 6-channel output. If using the Directed HD radio, you could plug it into the aux input on the eq and hit the source button to switch to it.

I have the line out of the HD Radio connected to the line input of my UCA202, monitor mode on. I can heard the HD Radio fine on the line out of the DAC, I'm not using the headphone out. Hope that helps.
