If you're feeling brave then you could always try flashing the latest CM10.1 Nightly. Just download APNbackupandrestore from the market, backup your APN and upload them here or send them to me and I can edit a nightly (so that mms will work).

There isn't a full/perfect stock Odin file for the S950c. But there are a couple methods to get back to stock gingerbread

1. Use Odin and flash the tar and .pit file found here (the file should work but I don't have an s950c showcase to try it out on) http://rootzwiki.com...30#entry1072600

2. Follow the method down at the bottom this post (this method worked for the guy that sent me the stock files but it is lengthy and if the single file above works then that is the preferred method): http://rootzwiki.com...tiple-carriers/

according to CyanogenMod: Note: Support Status This device does not support the newest version of CyanogenMod. This may be due to hardware limitations or simply because development is not yet complete. The last version officially supported was based on the "gingerbread" branch of Android/CyanogenMod.

APN backup file shows:

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' standalone='yes' ?>
<apns count="1">
<apn name="TFN" numeric="31000" mcc="310" mnc="00" apn="TFN" user="TFN" server="*" password="*" proxy="null" port="null" mmsproxy="null" mmsport="null" mmsprotocol="null" mmsc="http://mms.vzwresell...m/servlets/mms" type="null" />
</apns>

It looks like the C Spire Showcase. There are a few different versions of the "Showcase".

Theres the model # SCH-I500 Showcase which C Spire has as well as whats call a Generic CDMA Showcase. The generic is used on a lot of small wireless carriers (i.e. nTelos, Nex-tech, Cellcom, Choice Wireless, Alltel, Alaska Communications.

The Straight Talk Showcase is the S950c which as far as I can tell it is basically the same thing. In theory it would work like my generic showcase. What makes me suspicious that it might not is because of the Model Number difference. My showcase isn't officially supported, but the Fascinate is and I can take any Fascinate rom and port it over to my showcase. Basically I edit the APN file and numeric in the build.prop so mms works as well as the Eri.xml so the banner notification says Nex-tech Wireless.

I just went through hell and back with this phone, ...lol
I was pretty sure at a few moments it was bricked, but I don't give up easily and I managed to get it back to stock.
I had CM7 for the Cellular South's Showcase and could make calls and access the web, but could not receive texts, and when sent they were blank.

I did manage to copy the apns-conf.xml file, not sure what use it could be...

I used the following method:

Straight Talk Showcase (s950c)

How to flash back to stock(huge thanks to neptuneleo for the guide and pulling the files!)
DONT FLASH ANY OTHER SEPARATE MODEM FILES AS IT WILL OVERWRITE YOUR CURRENT MODEM (I don't believe this tar file fixes the modem, just system files/partitions)
  • Download Newest Odin3 v.3.07 to your computer:
  • Download Atlas 2.2.2.pit file to your computer : https://www.box.com/...7l7y1ok9ucq3kr3
  • Download CI500_VZW_EH03_GB_CM.tar.md5 to your computer:https://www.box.com/...xwxlzvr9hgpcqlp
  • Shutdown your phone, pull the battery and put it into Download mode (hold volume down while plugging it into your computer)
  • Run files in Odin with Repartition checked (tar file in the PDA section, .pit file in the PIT section) - May stall on cache file but it should still work after reboot
  • Once Odin is done unplug your phone and put the battery back in.
  • Power on your phone (should boot as Verizon Fascinate)
  • Power down and get back into Odin/download mode again
  • In PDA flash this SCH-S950C factoryfs.rfs file with no pit file. :https://www.box.com/...82g3k0dyc6ebgbh
  • Rebooted and it should work (data, calls,text, mms), verizon apps will still show
  • Power down and get back into Odin/download mode again
  • Flash cwm4_fixed_for_cm7-ODIN.tar in Odin (PDA Section):https://www.box.com/...ov1digwrgfb7qgo
  • Reboot the phone while holding the Volume Up, Volume Down, and Power button all at the same time. Once the Samsung logo appears you should be able to let go of the buttons and it will boot directly into CWM Recovery.
  • Wipe Data/Factory reset ; Wipe Cache ; and Wipe Dalvik Cache,
  • Reboot
  • Should be back to stock!
There are probably a couple steps that can be consolidated in this process but for now those have been confirmed to work.

Thats great that you got back to stock. I can edit a new CM10.1 Nightly for Straight Talk sometime tomorrow and upload it to you.

So did you try the single Odin file first or did you just use the method above?
