Doing a quick stable build, then building unstable with this:

Just a heads up, if the commits to fix NFC didn't work in the build for some reason, try flashing the zip from the forum I linked a page or two back, and I think it should work. If not, then that means you still have to go back to stock, enable it, come back to Hilbe's build, then flash the zip. The build that Phantom did that included the "fix" from the zip I linked didn't work for atleast one person on his forum.

Try the unstable...see if it's good.

if the build with the fix doesn't work neither will the fix itself as they are the same exact thing.
(this is for builds with patchset 1 of the fix, bmc uploaded a patchset 2 which is different from the fix, i have no idea if ps2 works.)

Totally makes sense, maybe I just got lucky, lol. I've tested the zip on four roms and it works as it should. I've even toggled it off and on multiple times with no issues. NFC must be a picky $%&@$! Lol

Ok, sorry it took so long. I did a couple tests, and both went great! The first test was flashing the latest unstable over my backup(which already had the nfc zip flashed), booted up, NFC was working as it should. The second test was a new, clean flash of the latest unstable and NFC was working from the start. The only test I didn't do was a flash of the latest unstable over either a prior Hilbe build w/o NFC working or coming from another rom that it wasn't working on.

Edit:The above tests also work with Phantom's 11/14 build. Gonna try flashing over a rom w/o the NFC fix and will report back soon.

Edit: Last test complete. Flashed a clean install of Hilbe's latest stable(doesn't include the NFC fix), and as expected, NFC would grey out when checked. Then I clean flashed Phantom's 11/14, and NFC worked from the start. So my theory is, unless the PS2 that Phantom informed me that BMc submitted works, then you still have to go back to a TW rom, enable it, then you will be good after that. I say this because if it didn't work for people, then it has to work for me since I enabled it on Beans build 2 before coming back to AOKP a few builds ago. Hope all this testing helps some users. I am guessing this test will also apply to Hilbe's latest unstable.

Nothing merged or changed in a few days. Waiting before I do another build.

Edit: Doing a test build just for fun. Including these:

Yeah I've used the softkey settings in Phantom's 11/14. It's good but it definitely still needs work. For example, the vibrate on the keys still happens even if they're disabled.

That being said, not trying to harp on it, I'm thrilled that we've gotten this far with it. Looking forward to the work being done.
Rocking an HP Touchpad and an UNLOCKED Verizon SGS3, and lovin' it all
