Latest is linked here: http://invisiblek.org/d2firmware.html

Find all firmware packages here: http://invisiblek.or...-i535/firmware/

NEW (5/12/13):
I now recommend flashing the latest modem, rpm and tz all the time. I'll be rolling "AIO" packages that flash all three of these at once.
They can be found HERE or HERE
I don't plan to make any for older releases, I don't see any reason for this.

Here's my theory on sticking with an older modem:
99% of people who have an sgs3 are not into rooting/modding/etc
These people are always running the latest OTA modems. Is crappy signal as widespread for them? I'd have to say no.
Whatever is causing your poor signal, is most likely not related to the modem you are running. If flashing a different one seems to help, it's likely a coincidence.
=====================================================

The zips are made for flashing via CWM or TWRP

FOR ODIN: FLASH IN THE PDA SECTION <-- No longer building these
Always flash EVERYTHING for this device in PDA unless otherwise noted.

I will not promise anything as far as faster speeds or better coverage.

IMPORTANT:
DO NOT FLASH ON ANY OTHER DEVICE THAN THE VERIZON GALAXY S3 (SCH-I535)
Do not unplug while this is happening, unless you are in dire need of a paperweight.
Odin tends to seem like it hangs for a short bit toward the end of the flash. Be patient, it will finish and automatically reboot.

FAQ:

Q: Should I flash this in the Phone section in Odin?
A: No, see beginning of the post.

Q: Do I need to wipe anything before/during/after flashing this?
A: No

Q: Can I flash this if I am running an AOSP rom? (CM9,CM10, AOKP, etc)
A: Yes, this is not dependent on what your phone is running.

Q: Do I need to be rooted to install this?
A: Not if you choose the Odin method, you need a custom recovery to flash using the other method.

Q: Will this wipe my data?
A: No, it will ONLY update your baseband, nothing else. Everything in your ROM should act just as it has.

Q: How can I check that it's been updated?
A: Go to Settings > About Device > Baseband version

Q:So flashing via Twrp is ok to do now with these?
A: Yes

Q: Is it just as safe to flash in recovery as it would be to odin them?
A: Pretty much, I threw checks in there to make sure you were flashing to a d2vzw and it checks the file's hash before flashing

Q: It's not working by flashing via recovery! I get something like this:
Code:
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "d2vzw" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "d2vzw"<br />
E: error in /emmc/VRLHD.modem.zip<br />
(status 7)
A: It's failing the assert. These check what device you have and older versions of clockworkmod didn't have the proper device in there. Update your recovery first. EZ Recovery can do this for you or you can grab something from here: http://goo.im/devs/i...i535/recoveries then try again

Q: I flashed <X> rom, or I restored <Y> nandroid, or I wiped data. Do I need to reflash this modem?
A: No. Roms and nandroids do not include a modem. Your modem will survive these along with a data wipe.

Q: Does flashing a radio affect my wifi or gps?
A: Absolutely not. The only thing it will affect is mobile data.

Q: Do I need to flash an rpm with these? Do these include an rpm?
A: No, no. See here for more info on rpm: http://rootzwiki.com...-rpm-explained/

guys, i accidently put the VRLG1 modem in the odin tar lol
if you downloaded it, please delete it, since its not what you want
use the recovery zip for now
once the links work again, it will be the updated version (give me a few minutes)

EDIT: k, uploading them both now, once again, sorry about this

No change here either at the house, but I'm more concerned about the areas where I lose signal altogether, so I'll be checking that.

On a side note, this is the first time I've flashed a radio/modem...I'm assuming that it doesn't change the build number? So it's OK that my baseband is VRLG7 and build number is still VRALF2?

Thanks again Invisiblek!

As the title of the thread reads, this is just the modems/radios. If you want the whole OTA and are still stock, hit the menu button then go settings -> about device -> software update -> check new. If you're not stock, you will have to ODIN back to stock then do the previous sequence. I have not seen a flashable version of the OTA yet.

Asked over at XDA, still scraching my head. Downloaded VRLG7.modem.zip, moved to root of my SD card. Reboot in to recovery, try to apply update, get this error

assert failed: getprop ('ro.product.device") == "d2vzw" II
getprop ("ro.build.product") == "d2vzw"
E:Error in /sdcard/VRLG7.modem.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
I am running stock rom, rooted with unlocked bootloader. I did install google wallet using the method over at XDA, but I reverted my build.prop back to its unedited version. Any ideas besides going in to Odin (which, I have no idea how to use).
