Anyone experience this? This phone is completely stock and un-rooted running Gingerbread of course.

Wow....that's awesome...you should send it to Motorola and ask them to clarify "most stable android phone"....my phone doesn't do that either

I rock a Galaxy Nexus. She's the one who had to have another Motorola with a keyboard even after her D2 was shit as well.

LOL! Looks like a faulty touchscreen. Or maybe just needs calibrated. My Nook color has had a similar issue at times. Running a touch screen calibrator fixed it.

My mom's droid 4 did that, wiping the screen with my tshirt resolved it...clean the screen!

Mine doing something similar. I was trying to dial a number and everyone I pushed was the number 6 and then it just started pushing the 6 on its own.

Was it plugged in? Mine did that with a faulty power cable. Unplugged and all is well.

It was not plugged in. It stopped doing it after she upgraded to ICS though.
