What's the name of the free app that does some of the same things?
Yes, it's called Trinity Kernel Toolkit, and it's available in the Play Store for a couple bucks. It allows you to tweak all the parameters of your kernel, including color and volume. It's well worth the investment, in my opinion. In About Phone, the kernel should have the name "morfic" in it somewhere, or should say something about "stable #35 (that's the stable Trinity kernel that's packaged with the ROM)...Morfic is the Trinity kernel dev.
