This rom was ported from a gsm galaxy nexus running jelly bean. It includes only those fixes required to work as intended. There are no altered themes, no tweak scripts, no replaced kernels, just the stock experience Google intended.

Thanks to b16 for providing the nandroid off his GSM Galaxy Nexus for all of us to use.

Note: This is the same rom I've been working on for the past few days that I had posted in AshG's thread over here. Just decided to create my own thread for it here.

Change Log:

Version 2.6
  • fixed hdmi
  • fixed verizon apps not working
  • fixed gps (discovered that gsm vendor lib files were being used. replaced with cdma)
  • updated all google apps to most current
  • updated Superuser app and su binary
Version 2.5
  • updated market app to 3.7.13
  • updated maps app to 6.9.0
  • reverted kernel to completely stock version
  • several minor fixes
Version 2
  • MMS fix (The mms apk was not configured properly for verizon due to the jelly bean rom coming from a GSM phone. It was causing pictures to be overly compressed and look like crap. Also, videos received via mms would not play).
  • Fixed bluetooth range and quality.
Version 1
  • WiFi fix
  • slow GPS lock fix
  • moved misplaced lib files
  • fixed no ringtone or notification sound by default
  • fixed updater script to actually format system
  • fixed ERI text to say Verizon Wireless
Installation:
  1. Boot into Recovery
  2. Wipe Data / Factory Reset (if coming from previous version you should be fine with a wipe cache and dalvik-cache)
  3. Install .zip
  4. Reboot
  5. Enjoy
IMPORTANT NOTE: Jelly Bean roms on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus are experiencing a random boot issues where you get stuck on the Google boot logo. If this happens to you just wait. After a few minutes it will boot up fine. This can take anywhere from 3 minutes to 10 minutes.

This thing runs like a champ on my VZW Gnex. Just need to get VerizonSSO.apk to work. I'm tempted to believe it's a build.prop issue as to why it can't make a network connection. Going to see if I can get to the bottom of this. If I can get the Verizon Single Signon to work, I can use My Verizon and NFL Mobile...then I'll be a very happy camper. :D

Cool - hopefully battery life improves since it appears the kernel was reverted fully to stock in 2.5. I do NOT want to use someone else's rom, as this one is just plain sick and the fastest of any of the four I've tried. Here's to hoping battery life improves so I can stick around.

Razor - you're the man!

I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just trying to state my position on discussions of battery life. Tone of voice and posture aren't communicated well via this medium

Just flashed 2.5 and I'm loving this, no issues at all. I've been using other Jelly Bean ROMs and hated how they progressively added more and more customizations. I'm loving this stock Jelly Bean experience and hoping this ROM stay like this.

Ended up just flashing this ROM. I'd rather have something with an active dev anyways. Seems like it's working perfectly.
Good choice, I just hung up the "Shutting Down Soon" sign on the other thread and diverted everyone here.

I'd wipe just in case. Even with incremental upgrades. Weeds out any potential issues. One thing I am making more of a habit is using Titanium Backup to save all user data/apps. That way I just do a one click and everything is restored no problems. (One click works for only the paid version, iirc)

Go to CWM Recovery (Hold down power and Vol +/- at same time). Press Vol+ twice and hit power button to go to 'Recovery'

- Wipe data/factory reset

- go to mount - format system

- wipe davlik cache

- wipe battery stats

- Install ZIP from sdcard.

Thanks for helping us out with an early stock Jelly Bean.. Seems to be working really well so far for me.
