I'm not sure I understand this update.

So I flashed in bootloader to original STOCK rom, then I got the OTA update of 32mbs from Verizon.

So what is THIS update and do I actually need it?

Thanks *sorry if its a noob question*

This is only the radio img from the ota. For those running roms and want to update their radio.

So silly question. How does this radio image differ from the radio image from the last OTA? The version I have on my phone is 1.09.01.1111 and this is x.x.x.0312. So does that mean I have a newer or older radio image? Okay, two silly questions :rolleyes:

.1111 = November 2011.
.0312 = March 2012.

0312 is the newest radio we have available (and most likely will be pushed out with the upcoming OTA).

It was pulled right from the ota. I captured it the other night within minutes of adding the otacerts back into my Rom. Other than radio and kernel the update is nothing special. Just a few system app patches mostly. We may add the patches to the last update when there's time just so there's a Rom that can be flashed I'm the event someone needs to return to stock.

Are people noticing any real differences with this? my initial experience was a drop in signal from where I am at work (2-bars to 1), but maybe i should try re-programming the cell towers nearby.

I personally haven't seen much change in signal. I am getting better battery life though. Initially I thought it seemed weaker. *228 option 2 brought my signal back to normal though. Less cell standby time for me as well which would attribute to the increase in battery life. Different people always get different results with radio firmwares though.
