wifi direct is a very fast transfer method

even send a 100M file, it can finish it within a minute

in original android 4.0 setting
it have a box to enable/disable wifi direct

but it have not a config box to match other devices

and have not a function for sending any file to other wifi direct devices

hope aokp team can combine this great feature in the rom

what devices are you trying to do??? Some have their own apps

Example:
I have a Samsung SH100 with WiFi direct, and Samsung has their own apps to support data between the devices...

i have a gs2 it have a config to match other devices like bluetooth config

but galaxy nexus have not this config
so i cannot send file to my gs2

the wifi direct in nexus have no use
it cannot send file, cannot connect tv

hope someone can complete this function

in GS2 stock rom

wifi direct config can show other devices

and in gs2 Gallery, it have a options for using wifi direct send file

hope galaxy nexus's aokp can add this feature

in GS2
even use a not samsung / google app
like root exploer

it still have a option for send file though wifi direct

hope someone can build it in aokp rom @ galaxy nexus

This is all the rage in the SIII. I see the setting on my GNex Toro also when you click on the settings you get nothing. In the SIII it is built into certain apps.
