So with Virgin Mobile in the build prop should we even be flashing this? I know Virgin Works off of Sprint but probably need the Sprint code in there right?
Still won't boot. Booting to system threw recovery does get it to begin booting. BUT after the splash screen to goes black loads for a minute then reboots back into the bootloader again
1)Updated hboot with firmware PG86IMG.zip - this caused my hboot to upgrade to 1.57 AND RELOCK my bootloader
2) My recovery was still there (Using 4EXT)
3) Flashed the rom
4)Phone is now having bootloops.
Wait to flash this guys till everything is worked out lol.
Edit: Apparently you're supposed to remove the HBOOT file. OP Please put that in the OP.
- opened firmware zip > removed hboot file > saved > flashed firmware file in bootloader.
confirm:
- hboot still 1.40, s-off
- did not wipe rom yet, booted into z3rd (2.3.4), all functioning so far (data, wifi, wimax, bluetooth) - made and received phone calls , sent and received texts, works
- changed banner from Sprint to Virgin Mobile. (extremely fixable when sprint firmware is out)
- backed up current rom, will proceed to wipe and flash through leaked rom
Well I guess it's time to break some new ground and see if the current HBoot downgrade from 1.50 to 1.40 works with 1.57
Edit: Actually there's no need. After talking with unknownforce from XDA, as long as you're still S-ON you're fine. He's posting a S-Off'd PG86img file for those of us who took the 1.57 update.
excuse me,
i want to ask,
my evo 3D is on hboot 1.50 s-on unlocked.
do i need to s-off my device first to try this rom or can i just install the rom via recovery?
or should me install the firmware (PG86IMG.zip) first then the rom?
thanks
and it boots! can't find a thing that does not work yet. just took a picture/wifi/ril work fine. lets see if it deep sleeps. thanks! looking forward to the ruu
I have hboot 1.5..how do I flash the PG86IMG.zip file without relocking my phone?
