Well this may not look pretty like the other devs........but here it goes!

I have been given permission to take on the Vortex rom and give it a little boost! So far I am thinking little then going big. Although you will find some fun stuff inside their is not theme or framework changes. A few suggestions would be to not use Vortex Toolbox because it is buggy and I haven't had time to fix it yet or look into it. When you change govs, you might want to use the boot menu.

VorteX Liberated a.k.a VXL: This is the all new Vortex and Liberty Hybrid!!!! Vortex is the base and Liberty is incorporated into the rom to make one amazing GB rom for the everlasting DX!

Very tempting! Running MUIU (GB) now and love the fluidity of it. Battery kinda sucks though.

Any screenshots of this ROM? I did a personal kang version a while back skinning it like Liberty, which worked out well in my opinion. Is this ICS themed or like the normal VorteX?

For right now it's normal vortex. My future plans are theming but there are flashable themes for the ROM though.

If coming from a stock ROM, yes, but if coming from a ROM with a "Reboot Recovery" option, then no. Once VXR is loaded, you do not need D2 Bootstrap

Nice work Slothly, hope I was helpful as a tester :)

New boot ani makes me a little dizzy lol. So far, boot menu seems fine, gov, clocking and voltages stick.

Those familiar w/ RC1 may encounter the same 'scary long' initial bootup times. Coming from the 2nd test build, I got stuck @ the boot animation, let it go > 5 min but decided to pull battery and power back up. Booted up fine after that.

You can use currently-available themes w/ VXR 1.0. If/when framework changes are made (none made in 1.0 AFAIK), existing RC1 themes may no longer be compatible. Initial bootup after theme application may cause weirdness (forever running boot ani, missing status bar/etc, same as w/ RC1), but a reboot should take care of that.

Slothly, might want to indicate which apps were removed from RC1 (eg: Gallery3D, etc). Might also want to modify build.prop to indicate this is VXR 1.0, as opposed to VorteXGB RC1

Noticed this w/ the Test build too -- When I tried to run a ROM Manager -> Fix Permissions, I got a privileged commands error. My workaround was to go to the Market, search for ROM Manager, select the Uninstall option, then once that was done, I clicked the Update button in the Market. After that, ROM Manager -> Fix Permissions worked fine.
