Ok, so here's the deal:
I have been given the task of being tech man for my mother, who is itching to get back to using a smart phone. (she had a fascinate on verizon, then went with some slider on straight talk,)

Now, I know that I remembed seeing a video review of this phone, and the gentleman mentioned this is a world phone, and it had a sim card slot as well. This phone is only offered via Alltel out here, which is a cdma network. The local craigslist has one of these for $80, my question, after much useless banter is: can I buy this phone, and use it with the byod sim on straight talk? They offer an at&t and t-mobile network sims, if that helps any.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

if you havent found out yet you can follow the guide posted in the forums or at other site to gain s-off,sim unlock super cid, root etc...
i have tested it out on simple mobile and everything works after data config
