So what do you know about the 3.0 kernel? What benefit do we get from it?

I'm no expert or anything but I figure things may play better with JB. Check out http://kernelnewbies.org/LinuxVersions for a list of features and changes.

Unfortunately the TouchPad kernel is still Gingerbread, which is 2.6.35. But Android is always a lil behind porting the kernel. I believe all ICS and JB still use 3.0.1.

pyroman512 > Yes It works well now I use cwm6 instead of the old5.5 one :)

If you want to give it a try I've made a cwm flashable zip, install it like an update and reboot your recovery. :)

https://www.dropbox....in-20121204.zip

NB: it will replace your current cwm.

Great thank you I will have to use this to update the CM10 install thread,

Cheers

Edit flashed and tested works great added it to the CM10 install folder now. Will make a video about it later.

Hi, the bug of battery drain with CM9 is finally solved? Because some people has reported to me their TP is completely discharge with CM9 and is still boot and work without any problem.
Thanks

Can I just ask a question about discharged TP's?

A friend has one she says is discharged and will not charge. Am I right in thinking that I need a good charger and I leave it for about an hour, then press the centre button and volume up for about 30 seconds and it should then boot?

if not, what is the arcane magic I need?

cheers

Your best bet is to use the HP barrel charger with a good quality micro USB cable. The one HP sends is junk, but the barrel charger has been rated one of the best out there. If it wont do anything after holding power and the center button for over thirty, let it charge a few hours and try again. It seems to trickle charge at extremely low battery, so it might take a while to get power to boot. After it boots, let it charge back to 100% and still leave it a lil longer. The nit will be good to use again
