The full release post can be viewed here

OP here will only be used for device specific things from now on

Whats not working:

  • MMS (receives but does not send) - install Go SMS.
  • Normal ICS on motorola broken things (hardware acceleration/Panorama)

Device Specific things:

  • Changeable multitouch (disabled by default) - Jonman409
    • open terminal emulator and type "multitouch" for directions on re-enabling or changing number of points
  • Kernel schedulers
    • Defaults to Noop
    • Can be changed between cfg, noop, and sio. To change open /system/etc/init.d/12scheduler and change SCHED="noop" to your desired scheduler.
    • Added a script to allow changing io schedulers on the fly. To use, open terminal emulator type su then scheduler followed by desired scheduler. Only accepts noop, sio, and cfq. Will stick through reboots.

Credit / Thanks:

Install:

  • Download the ROM
  • Download Gapps
  • Reboot into CWM
  • wipe data in CWM
  • install ROM
  • install gapps
  • reboot

Is there anything special I need to do to install this ROM, or will the normal wipe cache/dalvik and install over CM9 work fine?

This is definitely one of the better pure ics roms i have put on my phone.

@mg, i am coming from beans's miui defx and not cm9, but i always factory reset, wipe delvik, format system, mount system, then install the zip. I may be making more work for myself sometimes, but its better than having to sbf :). This rom installed perfectly doing it this way.

A couple of things, though...when trying in brightness settings to turn on my keyboard lights, as soon as i hit edit other levels, settings will fc. Having a themes app would completely knock this rom out of the park.

Thanks for this rom and all of the hard work you guys have put into it:)

New to the D2 rom stuff. Does it matter what rom/kernel you are on before installing this. I know on the Droid X, you sometimes had to sbf to a specific ota/kernel before you could install certain roms.

out of curiosity, is the latest nightly for the D2 the same as this release or is there plans for more nightly builds to continue
