It does indeed flash fine on CM9, at least the 03/09 nightly. Running Antutu, will edit post once its done on whether its any faster.

Edit: not seeing any improvement from it.

Could have been a fluke i suppose.

Edit: Just tried it again, on AOKP (stock kernel) at 1.512ghz with the old files I get between 5400-5600, with the new files I get anywhere from 5800-6000 (I ran it 5 times each just to be sure). It could be different on CM9 of course.

Here is a flashable:
Adreno 2xx Flashable driver for CWM/TWRP
Make sure to backup your System in CWM or TWRP for easy recovery

A few impressions:
  • I noticed a fair increase in performance using the stock AOKP kernel (about 300 points in Antutu)
  • C2D seems to still be broken (pixelated video)
  • Does not seem to work on Bricked Kernel - everything gets very, very sluggish and would not even boot when I tried: debug.composition.type=c2d - Maybe it will work on CM9.
its suck the performance downgrade after install this drivers in linkpak score 70average and before instal this drivers score 83, how can uninstall?
I have tested in the latest cm9 nitghly

Best to make backup in CWM when testing nightlies and especially b4 installing something like this driver.
If you don't have backup you can wipe cache/dalvik, reflash nightly.

silky smooth on AOKP M4!

i didnt run any benchmark tests, just feel there is an overall improvement in terms of rendering speed (large pdf files load quicker; hd videos are smooth even during resizing etc).

i did wipe cache and dalvik before flashing the zip file via cwm

and I also got android system optimizing my apps 1 by 1 automatically during the first boot after flash.

many thanks to tbob18 for uploading the cwm flashable zip file!

(YMMV, pls do a cwm backup before flashing.)

Maybe, it's just a placebo effect, but overall interface feels a bit smoother after the patch.

Benchmarks prove there is improvement with the new drivers, was getting 4400 with old drivers, new drivers spiked it at 6000.

Perhaps its kernel dependent? Everyone who's mentioned an improvement is running AOKP which I believe uses its own kernel and not the CM9 one.
Current phone - Motorola Atrix w/ Turl's CM9 v9
Current tablet - HP Touchpad w/ WebOS 3.0.5 & CM9 Nightly

I installed the drivers on a CM9 nightly, so your assumption is incorrect.

I'm running CM9 nightly and would loke to know how you feel about the upgrade. Also, would you have to flash this each time you update the nightly?

thanks

I just ran 5 antutu benchmarks @1.620 with 3-23 CM9 nightly stock driver and 5 tests with this driver.
no significant difference in benchmarks
below are min-max scores with no driver being consistantly higher or lower.
2d scores 290-295
3d scores 988-995
overall score 5700-5770 (with 1 oddball of ~5400)

The one thing I did notice real world was that HD video stream of "Destructoid" episodes(using Destructoid app) no longer had aliasing jaggies..so I guess there is some benifit.

and yes you would need to reinstall this driver after each nightly update.
