No, they did not announce any such thing. That the DoubleShot is not on that list doesn't mean anything. For one thing, HTC has not said that list is final. Secondly, the DoubleShot is a T-Mobile product, so like every MyTouch phone before it, it will be T-Mobile making the announcement, not HTC.

I'm not knocking your soucre, but I doubt that's true. We'll end up getting ICS sooner or later. Plus an offical would be nice kernel and driver wise. But where making great pace with the hacked ICS kernel. We have Sense 4.0, 3.6. CM9, AOKP, AOSP, and Quatro. Also Tbalden is the newest member of Virtuous. So this device has really came out the gutter. Kornyone is still (slowly) working on the ICS kernel. Many devices don't have the proper kernel soucre for ICS roms to work 100%. So in the end, where all in the same boat :D

Yea guys, seriously stop with the rumors...
Just because it's not on the list doesn't mean it will not get the update. It's still one of T-Mobile's best phones.
Noone ever thought the old 3G Slide would get Froyo either, but it did as well.
It was much later and by then we already had fully working froyo roms, but it got the update nonetheless.
That will probably be the case with our device as well. When the update comes out, it will be mostly irrelevant anyway.

blah blah blah... I've heard that crap so many times for so many devices. I do not doubt you have a friend who is a level 3 tech at T-Mobile. What I doubt is that this friend knows anything about what HTC will or will not do regarding updates. Whether it was the Moto Cliq, the MyTouch 3G Slide, or now the 4G Slide, everybody's "inside man at T-Mobile" never had the correct information, they were just guessing like everyone else. So no, you do not have proof. You and your friend are guessing like everyone else at this point and the fact that your friend works at T-Mobile as a tech has absolutely no weight in credibility. And now, the fact that you don't even own a DoubleShot and crow constantly about your Samsung makes you even less viable as a resource. I had a lot of respect for you as a ROM developer and I even made a donation to you because I used one of your ROMs as a daily driver. But, now I find your gloating about your new phone to be distasteful here in the DoubleShot forums. We get it, you like your new phone, does it not have its own forums?
