I have just recently joined MIUI.us so im redoing the op nice and professional.
This is an excellent ROM if for no other reason than it introduces the first non-CyanogenMod/carrier/manufacturer framework overhaul of Android 2.3.7, and in the past week this rom has come a long way im currently using it as my dailly driver

Added: BootMenu | Rzr And Cwm Recovery | SuperUser | Motorolla Phone Portal |Extended Settings
If you want ADW.Launcher, LauncherPro, or any other Launcher install them from Market.

.1. Keyboard Backlight
Fix= goto settings/display/use custom levels/edit levels and set to 255(do this on 1st boot)

2. Ringtone change
to select ringtone for music you have to use the miui music app to select

for some reason *228 doesnt work but *228+ does the same thing and works

Nope. Only cyanogen mod requires gapps as far as I know.

Update: I re-flashed following the strict procedure in the first post and it works fine now.

I too had to go back and follow instructions to install. Its running well so far. Actually seemlessly transitioned from your 2.2.10.

You still need to hit the auto brightness for the keyboard lights, but I'm used to that anyway.
I also had to fiddle with miui contol to get the battery top bar indicator to show up.
I am not sure if its just my messed up battery calibration or not, but it seems to charge slower than the galnet 2.2.10 I don't see how changing a rom can effect that though, other than calibration.
Backup is force closing.. I've not had it work on either rom.. maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Getting my folders and theme set back up. I will report back with any issues.

Just flashed Galnet MIUI last night and was wondering if this is any update to that or is this a different rom? Sorry for the noob question just jumpedd ship from liberty.
