Brain thanks for the idea recovery problem solved now toting TWRP 2.2.0

Do you have any ideas on signal issues I'm barely getting 3g where LG spectrum got 4g, surely Gnex cannot be that bad :-)

Go into Settings >> About Phone and post your baseband. I dont have my phone on me at the moment but it seems like you are having the same issue I was. I updated my radios and have gotten much better signal.
