Same exact thing happened to me...you may have a dirty phone. I backed up all my stuff (photos, docs, etc..) And ran complx cleaner(careful, it wipes everything) and reinstall rom from scratch with kernel of your choice and you should see battery improvements. I'm right back where you are...battery is draining...have to redo everything. Also, do not install battery monitor apps...they drain your battery unnecessarily. check your tap-a-talk, twitter, Facebook, Google plus settings , they could be pulling data... The best advice i got was i had a rogue app which was preventing the phone from going into deep sleep. Just look at each app installed and see if you can live without it.

Don't know if you have Facebook or not. If so set it never to refresh or sync. That app is such a hog. It's disgusting how much that app tries to run lol. I tried battery saver mode but for me the drain was the same as my current set up and wasn't worth the lag. If aokp is your daily driver try a full wipe and install build 36. M5 was awesome but drained my phone as well.
