Source: https://github.com/AOKP
Mod Type: ROM     Difficulty: Easy     Mod Status: Alpha     Mod Base: AOSP     Carrier: Verizon
Requires Root: Yes     Apply In: CWM Recovery     Optional: Custom Settings     Optional: Requires GApps     Android Version: 4.0.3 (ICS)

Android is all about choices. And here's another choice for AOSP ROM:

"AOKP" (Android Open KANG Project) is a built from source ROM similar to CyanogenMod (but different). I didn't create AOKP, STS-Dev-Team only ported it to the BIONIC.

You can visit the AOKP website here:
http://forum.aokp.co/

Their developers include: Roman, Zaphod-Beeblebrox, Whitehawkx, and more.
The future of AOKP is quite bright as new features are popping up all the time.

This port is based off mine and Hashcode's ICS work for CM9 and it has ALL of the same issues (and possibly some which weren't addressed in the port).

SafeStrap: from Hashcode's blog

I recommend doing a wipe data/cache before installing this ROM.

Get your 4.0.4 GApps (2/17/2012) Here

DON'T LET GOOGLE RESTORE YOUR SETTINGS WHEN INSTALLING THIS ROM COMING FROM GINGERBREAD

For STS-DEV-TEAM website:
http://sts-dev-team.us.to/
and github / sources are now here:
https://github.com/o...ns/STS-Dev-Team

FOR DEVS: Hashcode has a local_manifest.xml setup for this ROM, so that you can repo init from AOKP's manifest and drop in the STS changes to build for all 4 phones.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR GETTING DATA ENABLED:

New GSM only mode under Settings/Wireless & Networks/More/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/ Select GSM only wait till the screen flashes twice (or it says 4G SIM detected would you like to switch to LTE/CDMA) then switch to LTE/CDMA. Data will come up.

NOTE: OLD Method You may have to dial *#*#4636#*#* (or use Phone Info from the market) and toggle data mode between modes. For me toggling to GSM only till the screen flashes and then back to GSM/CDMA auto (prl) works perfect. It will show data for a sec then flash off and about 30 seconds it will pop up to full data.

WHAT DOESN'T WORK:
Camera (in progress)
HW Video Codecs (in progress)
Bluetooth on but not connected = loss of all audio (in progress)
Seems only 1 SD card is sharing, this needs to be corrected with a CM patch -- might also be causing a NovaLauncher crash which needs a battery pull.

ENJOY!

Cool DH, Are you continuing your CM9 work on the 4.0.3 ics for bionic, or does this take its place? Is DT taking the cm9 port with his new Axiom for Bionic release or are they all continuing seperately? Confused???

Yeah is this replacing your 4.03 build progress, and is axiom merging into this?
