no matter what kernel i flash it wont overwrite the stock build 38 kernel. any ideas?

Which recovery r u using? I believe Team EOS softkey recovery does not flash kernels. It is a bug. If u r using that, try a different recovery.

I would recommend using a different recovery and if that doesn't work try using soft, sweet, tender words to your xoom. OH, and I brought with me this updated kernel thing that you guys seem to like so much.

Haven't tried the new kernels yet with 38. I tried to dirty flash the update, and boot looped. I had to restore and I haven't tried it again since. But as is this thing has been great. 6 days of time on battery with over five hours of screen time. I almost don't want to mess with it.

Its just some sort of bug. Everyone has had that problem. I'd rather have Team EOS focus on makin my Xoom a smooth and speedy beast than worrying about the recovery anyhoo. Thats just me.

Finally did a full wipe, clean build 38 install, then a advanced nandroid data restore. Now I'm up and running on the newest tiamat kernel that supercute extracted. Hopefully it's as kickass as the other versions have been.

P.S. There was a new kernel earlier today that I'll have up sometime later if you wanna hold off on flashing. Thats up to you guys. I'm just far from home taking care of my sick grandfather so my free time is slim at the moment.
UPDATE: Sorry for the delay. Its kinda self explanatory. Anyways, here is newest kernel. Its mainly behind-the-scenes wifi, usb, and processor fixes from what I can tell...
