This is a stand-alone Sense like ICS Style LTE toggle based off of the one I wrote for the HTC Thunderbolt. It should work on any custom ROM as long as they are using the default signing keys. If it does not show installed after flashing, you will need the ROM developer to re-sign the apk with their keys for it to work.

This is in beta release right now. If there are any issues, let me know.

Notes:
  • Do not use the menu accessed from *#*#4636#*#* (it's not intended for use anyhow). This widget uses a mode that will crash that menu. You can use the one in Phone settings under Wireless and Networks instead.
  • Switching between network modes takes some time
Tasker Setup:
  • Setup two tasks and call them LTE On and LTE Off
  • Add an Action Intent to both (found under the Misc category) with the following settings
    • Action
      com.bamf.settings.request.LTE_NETWORK_CHANGE
    • Cat
      None
    • Data (Leave this one blank)
    • Extra
      For ON:
      networkType:7
      For OFF:
      networkType:4
    • Extra (Leave this one blank)
    • Target
      Broadcast Receiver
  • Now you can add these to any profile like one for screen on/off

I flashed this on axiom 2.3, the widget showed up and I was able to toggle from 3G to 4g then 3g/4g. Once it connected to the network it wouldn't let me toggle back down to 3g. Anyone else experience this?

I'm using on gummy 0.3.8 and have the same problem. It eventually let me toggle back but I lost all data. I went into the settings and neither cdma only or lte were checked.
