I'm sorry but how is your post relavant to mine?
You said you undervolt with setcpu and get SODs.
I don't undervolt and I get excessive drain.

I see, thought you might be having the same issue. On the leantweaks thread someone said turning off SD and system speed tweaks fixed their drain. Maybe try that.

Hey imo can u explain what this mpu factory override is? I'm seeing it pop up in the other kernel threads? Does this give people the ability to safely over clock past 1.4

omap4460 chipsets come in two different flavors: "high performance" and "standard". What we got is the "standard" variety which limits mpu to 1.2ghz and iva to 430mhz in hardware. Pretty sure Google did this to 1) extend bettery life and 2) prevent overheating. Up until now I didn't realize that other devs figured out a way to override that. This is why i have you guys - to spy for me! LOL.

In any case, I don't think it's going to be my top priority (since i believe omap4460 at 1.35ghz is fast enough) but I'll look into it at some point. When I do, I'll try to do it myself first instead of kanging.

Me, personally, I’m doing it with pleasure. And if I don’t report any problems, that’s because I don’t have. Using 230-1420, without undervolting (default settings of the kernel), I have always perfect battery life/performance. Only one SOD on 2.0.1 exp.1, and never before, and never after.
Only one question: are they really useful all this undervolting experiments for the battery life? The biggest battery user is the display, so is it really necessary to play with CPU?
