Saw the changelog . Does lowering wifi voltage has a significant impact ?

Don't think it ever did. And it had a side effect of causing radio signal drops. :\

Any other platform I might consider it but not for gnex/omap4. This is the most sensitive (to changes) kernel I've ever worked with. I might be able to make 3.4 boot on gnex, but it will probably be almost impossible to make it work without problems. Either way it would involve a lot of time which I don't have.

Having said all that 3.0.x branch is still kept up-to-date by the good Linux mainstream folks and has most of the relevant patches from the upstream 3.x.

saw on gethub you had updated the code to stabilize the random wifi MAC issue .. I have been meaning to comment that indeed it has worked... im just wondering if you know of a way to inject a custom mac address (as in my original default). either by typing it in or introducing the original .bin files with that MAC address?

I just got a new device. ( camera didn't focus ) on my last next I would use exp kernels overclocked to whatever I wanted. I never had any issues. Now with the new one my touchscreen will stop working at least once a day. Usually followed by a bootloop when I pull the battery. I started using the stable kernel but the problem still happens. Not sure what could be causing the issue. It has occurred on 2 different roms AOKP and paranoid android. I have only tried ur kernel though.

Are you undervolted or using the 180 or 230 slots? Is your GPU over clocked? Governor? Try posting what kernel settings you are using if not stock.

Some have had luck with disabling SmartReflex when this happens. In terminal, try running the following:

To turn off:
su
sr off

To turn on:
su
sr on

Keep in mind these will set at boot as long as your rom has init.d support.

Sent from my brain using human to phone transport technology.

Edit: Since tapatalk hates the [CODE] tag, it should display as follows:

To turn off:

su
sr off

To turn on:

su
sr on

I'm pretty sure there is a way to do this just not sure how. I want to lower the sr min value. I thought I had done it right with terminal, but with Franco's app it still was reading 810. And with imos one kernel that had it lowered I was running 710 or so, stable. Thanks in advance

You can actually have the kernel read from /factory/wifi/.mac.info directly but I think my solution is a bit more elegant and minimalistic. :) If you're really interested in the other solution PM me and I'll put you in touch with a guy who wrote a patch for that. But then you'd have to compile your own kernel, etc. Not worth it. :)

3.8 (rc2-230) kernel using interactive, default clocks (350-1200), and letting SR handle voltages....

5% drain in 9+ hours on wifi (overnight idle, push exchange pushing perhaps 10 emails, aokp b37.) Thats with the "network extender" that verizon sent me, so I'm getting a strong 3g signal.

1/2 percent drain / hour. That's pretty good. :)

Take care
Gary
