Like if you have 1200mhz and 1350mhz running both at 1250mV , will they both use the same amount of battery?

Yes, although technically the 1350 would use less battery because it would theoretically complete the tasks faster and go back to deep sleep quicker. But in terms of voltage, they'd use the same amount of battery. That's why it's kinda silly to run 1200 on lk-stable because it's only 25mV different from 1350 (which is basically negligible).

Going to flash LeanKernel stable & hope this resolved the problem.

I'm pretty sure actual drain is calculated by multiplying MHz and mv and capacitance or resistance or something like that. So 1350 at 1220mv with consume more power than 1200 at 1220mv. Also "race to idle" depends on the bottleneck. Its often not the CPU. Writing files to /data or /sdcard should take just as long at 350mhz than at 1200mhz.

Where did you get that from? That version has not been released yet and there is no reference to that instruction. It will be set with sysfs not a script.

1) Introducing... Variable GPU OC! This will allow you to select your top GPU speed between 307mhz (stock-default), 384mhz and 512mhz. Check the FAQ on how to use it.
2) Linux 3.0.27 update
3) Some lowmemkiller updates from mainline Linux
4) interactive (and iX) speed enhancement patches from android source.
5) a couple of somewhat experimental battery saving patches (already tested in exp builds)
6) and more smartreflex fixes from omap source
7) "so" - script to toggle your screen-off max between stock 700mhz and your max speed (credit bjn)
8) remove more code for leaner kernel
I believe everything except for Variable GPU OC was already in 3.1.0exp2. Stay tuned for 3.2.0 experimental builds which will have another cool feature not in stable.

well, there is a link in the OP that says "all files", so I got the latest experimental from that page. which file do I need to change to overclock the GPU?Edit: never mind, wee got new kernel.
