Just so everyone knows the glados app works to adjust the CPU, gamma, I/o etc.... and everything that it can see on the jelly bean version of this kernel. I'm clocked at 1420 and holy mother this thing is supersonic!

sent from here and there.

Setcpu seems to work as well.

Does the gamma control feature work on JB, or is that a rom feature?

Also, I had an init script to change the value to 6 on every boot, but it got deleted when I switched to the 4.1 rom! Could someone please tell me what the command line would be for that script? Thanks!

edit: found the answer :)

will this work on JB?

1. Open RootExplorer
2. Navigate to /etc/init.d/
3. Mount R/W
4. Menu > New file
5. Name the file 88faux_tweaks
6. insert this code into the new file: echo 6>/sys/devices/platform/omapdss/manager0/gamma
7. Save file.
8. Reboot.

Just two things now... there was no init.d folder, so I created one, but I'm not sure about the permissions for the folder and for the script itself.

Here's how I have them set, I'd appreciate if someone could confirm/deny that this is correct:

init.d folder permissions: rwxr-xr-x
faux tweaks script permissions: r-xr-x---

For now I just edited the gamma file manually - it really does make a noticeable difference. You are the man Faux.

How did this work out? Also is there a command to set initial max/min CPU speed in the same script?

This is the first non-stock kernel I've come across on JB that seems to have done whatever it is right to make the feel in scrolling and transitions equally smooth as stock. I had nearly resigned myself to running the stock kernel until I saw a pertinent RT. This thing is slick faux shoux

Best Kernel for JB thus far,,,everything is smooth, fluid, and surprisingly enough no real temp increases when running at 1800.
