Hi,
I rooted my HTC Desire S, first by installing revolutionary and then superuser.
Recently it has developed a malfunction where I am unable to send/receive calls or texts, but I am able to connect to mobile internet.
I need to revert it back to stock ROM and s-on, so it is still covered by warranty.
I have no problem getting it back to a stock ROM, using RUU, but it is still s-off.
I've tried flashing a couple of PG88IMG files, but I'm still stuck on s-off!
Anyone able to help?
Thanks

Flash to a stock Rom of an older base and then click see if you have an update. That should do the trick

The problem is the revolutionary bootloader can't be changed by a ruu, because the version number is to high and it never gets replaced, you need to try it with a PG88IMG.zip or if this also doesn't work, by using the dd command directly from adb, but beware this is advanced stuff, if you do something wrong you will get a complete brick, I would recommend to replace the revolutionary bootloader first with an eng bootloader (on of the 0.9.... series would be the best) and afterwards run the ruu again.
