http://www.kingoapp.com/

We had originally pulled all links to kingo as they didn't meet our requirements for app safety and gpl compliance. XDA has since worked with the developers to create a safer and trusted application. If they had not been cooperative, these threads would still be closed.

TL;DR - kingo is now safe and OK to use.

Even works on new updated firmware At&t pushed out.

N900AUCUBMJ5 and NB4....Don't know about new update KitKat.

Kingo is updated. They have more updates coming.

Lot of people now trust this method and It is one of the only ways to root right now.

I am using this method and have been since it came out.

11/26/13 On a warranty replacement with latest Kingo Root and firmware.

No problems what so ever, phone is perfect so far.

This method is so much faster and works perfectly.

Confirmed and working great on AT&T Note 3.
Does not trip the knox counter.

(It does show Custom Status but you can change it)
No factory reset, and no wiping data !!!!!!
One Click and your done.

SUPERSU

After that you can install XposedInstaller and WANAM.

There are some kool things you can do with that.

For one > Make it show Official Status instead of Custom.

My phone is sicker now !!!!!!! SWEET

All you have to do is download the program from the main page. Once you have it and your phone is plugged up, it will show your device model.

Trust me, this works and it does not trip anything. All it will say is its custom status. You can use Xposed Installer with Wanam and change it to Official Status. This will also take away that Custom icon you will see on the boot up screen. (You need the phones drivers, Kies 3) Your PC needs to be able to talk to your phone. This right now to me, is the best way to root. By the way, my phone is extremely better now! Battery life is amazing and its faster. I froze a bunch with Titanium Back up and also use Greenify from the Playstore and hibernate other running apps i use. This is worth it guys!!!!!

So is this new update better or worse? Will it allow us to root better or worse?

It worked for me. Its still easy. All you have to do is open the program and plug up your phone. Let Kingo do its thing and agree and hit okay on your phone.

It recognizes what device you have and then you hit ROOT button. 4 minutes later it will reboot and complete.

The update removed some info Kingo needs to root. They dont need your IMEI number so thats gone I was told (Reason for XDA not to support)

Kingo came back and is working with DEVS to take that out in Ver 1.5 and 2.0 is coming out soon. I used Kingo two different times with no problems but to each is own. I like the phone rooted or not.

I'm running X Note 6 on the At&t Galaxy Note 3 100% flawless.

Without y'all, I would of sold this phone.

KNOWN ISSUES:
No Aroma installer support. This is due to the stock Note 3 kernel framebuffer. To build a recovery which worked, it needed QCOM patches. So will Aroma.
If you try a .zip file with an Aroma installer, it will most likely just hang.
If you're stock ROM is modified then the "Reboot Recovery" function from inside Safestrap APK may / may not work.
Right now flashing / booting ROMs on rom-slots is broken. I'm debugging best I can.
EXFAT support seems broken right now (64gb SD cards)

Here is how we are using it now, but please read and follow instructions.
