This is an no longer an alpha release. I feel it has come far along enough to be designated a real build at this point.

First off though, I wanna give a big thanks to @preludedrew for helping me get caught up with all this ICS crap, many of you know today was my first day back from vacation, I had a whole hell of a lot to catch up on, and he really saved me a ton of time.

As it is still an early release, many things are broken, many things aren't. At such an early point in development, progress is usually made at a breakneck pace. If the rom isn't up to your standards today, check back tomorrow, you may be surprised to see how much we fix in one day.

Now on to the fun stuffs....

What works you may ask? Well here's a list...and it's ALWAYS growing, so check back often.
-Touchscreen (UNLESS YOUR TOUCH PANEL IS ATMEL224_20aa. YOU CAN CHECK THIS IN HBOOT AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN.)
-Wifi and Wifi signal indicators (After putting in your networks password, if its still not connecting, long press on your network and select "Connect")
-Bluetooth
-Video Playback
-SD Card
-Calls and Data
-Sound
-Rotation
-Root/Superuser Permissions
-Reboot Options

-Rotation Animation
-Multitasking App Previews
-Native Screenshots (Power + Volume Down)

You pessimists out there are probably wondering what doesn't work...Well trust me, I've got a shrinking list for you all as well
Image

The build is so new, that beyond the things listed, I don't know. Try it out and gimme some feedback.

R2, I was trying to build from a fresh sync of your source and get the following error:
Code:
<br />
In file included from hardware/libhardware/include/hardware/gralloc.h:21:0,<br />
				 from hardware/msm7k/libgralloc-qsd8k/gr.h:28,<br />
				 from hardware/msm7k/libgralloc-qsd8k/gpu.cpp:23:<br />
system/core/include/system/window.h: In constructor ‘ANativeWindowBuffer::ANativeWindowBuffer()’:<br />
system/core/include/system/window.h:75:59: error: ‘memset’ was not declared in this scope<br />
system/core/include/system/window.h: In constructor ‘ANativeWindow::ANativeWindow()’:<br />
system/core/include/system/window.h:303:59: error: ‘memset’ was not declared in this scope<br />
The fix is to add:
#include <string.h>

to /system/core/include/system/window.h

Gonna try this right now!

Some feedback on some bugs...
-Superuser not allowing roog access, unable to update binary, currently installed version legacy
-Sdcard like OP is iffy, notice that it recognizes the card on insert but immediately unmounts it.
-Within the settings menu unable to access storage and apps selections, but am able to place app on home screen then drag it to app info to be able to unistall, etc.

When they made GB roms in the beginning they were fairly slow without hardware acceleration. I remember then the N1 got its GB update they ported it to our phones and the roms were much quicker and smoother. However the UI still wasn't rendered in OpenGL like ICS is. Is it possible to get it to that point even without the opengl drivers ICS needs?

About to load this up on my 2nd Inc. having 2 makes flashing stuff like this so much easier. Been following you guys for a long time using your other 2 roms since i got the first Inc.

Well my 2nd Inc is not set up for service atm. Real Pita getting passed the Activate screen skipping just reset it like 5 times before i could get into the OS. Finally got in wifi refused to connect. Tried to push apps to phone via PC no go never got Mounted. Le sigh will fiddle some more maybe put it on my activated Phone real quick to play around. (wifes still asleep anyway lol)

wonder if i could toss this thing in the Kitchen and use the porting tools or something to get it to link up with OMGB?

Ok been playing with it for a while. Unable to get wifi working. None of the sounds play when changing ringtone and notification sounds. market works sometimes others it reboots the phone. (using the ICS GAPPS Posted on second page.) Calling myself from my work phone reboots the phone also. reboots are very fast though. Camera says can not connect to camera.(reboots phone). Music not working.Youtube loads when i searched for something or tried to play a video it closed and rebooted phone. Thats about as far as i got with it. Great job so far guys. Touch screen working makes this so much fun.

This may sound like a stupid question but I haven't exactley seen the answer yet. I know the UI is laggy because of no hardware acceleration for our GPU yet. Since HW acc is new to ICS why is it so laggy compared to previous versions? Did google redo the launcher to need OpenGL to run smooth? Will other launchers see an improvement after HW acc?

I'm just curious why we need the new HW acc to get to be as smooth as the past. My impression was the HW acc would make it almost as smooth as icrap.

Either way R2, Linuxmotion, prelude drew, and anyone else I left out, Thank you and happy holidays.

Just played around with the latest build for a few minutes. I noticed that once you're in an app like Settings or People or Messaging it scrolls smoothly - no lag. On the home screens and in settings, though, it still lags quite a bit. I'm already restoring, but has anyone tried it with another launcher (like Launcher Pro)? When I told my WiFi to scan it would just sit there, but if I turned it off and then on again it would show hotspots in the area. If I tried to connect it wouldn't. 3G data worked and I received a text message without issue. When i tried to open the camera it told me it couldn't connect to the camera and then I just hit OK - no reboots at all. The gallery still won't load (the first build eventually loaded one folder). It opens, but it doesn't show any folders. I'm wondering if it's waiting on the camera to initialize or something. I'm really loving the UI (messaging looks so much better). I can't wait to be running this thing daily. Thanks for all the hard work!

Bugs version 2.0.0.b

Gps is working for me. Just takes a bit to establish connection. Does the same thing as a ROMed honeycomb device but they are good after that first time, on this build you need to wait.

Storage link under settings
