Press vs Feedly - March's Head To Head App Battle

Mar 27 2013 06:05 PM | mikelewis in Series

Last month, I did a little compare and contrast of Flipboard and Currents. Both of those feed aggregators feature a magazine style format and have become very popular as of late and more so with the popularity of tablets. This month I wanted to feature two applications that simply serve as alternate Google Reader aggregators: Feedly and Press. Soon after I began comparing the apps though, Google announced and end to Reader. These two applications face their own battle now they will no longer be relying on importing Reader feeds.

Magazine Style News Reader Showdown - Flipboard vs Currents

Mar 06 2013 06:00 PM | mikelewis in Series

During the past 4 weeks, I took some extra time and effort to compare two of the more popular magazine style readers in the Play Store, Flipboard and Google Currents. There are several other popular readers and over the course of the next two months, I will be comparing Press, Pulse, Feedly, Taptu, and others. This month, I wanted to focus on the readers that have the most style and flow to see which one provided the best practical working use.
