Remember last month's rumor about the Nexus 7 running a Snapdragon processor? A memo by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo indicates that the Snapdragon of choice will be the APQ8064 - the Snapdragon S4 Pro. Oh, and it's also rumored to have a 1920x1200 display, Qi wireless charging support, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, a (cough cough) a rear camera and a $199 price tag.

"Galaxy Note 2" Facebook Page Claims Impending 4.2.2 Updates for Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S 3

A Facebook page dedicated to the Galaxy Note 2 today claimed that the Note 2 as well as the S3 will be receiving an update to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 by the end of May.

Yet another rumor surfaces of LG making the next Nexus phone

There have, of course, been many rumors over the last few months that LG would once again be tapped to manufacture a Nexus phone. The latest comes from the well-known rumor magnet Korea Times, which simply says that "the consumer electronics arm of LG Group is working with Internet-giant Google to make another Nexus-branded Google Android smartphone," which implies an agreement has been reached between the two companies.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is the next upgrade - buzzkill?

Speculation has run rampant about the next version of Android, many expecting 5.0 Key Lime Pie to be announced at Google I/O. However, Android Police has posted some strong evidence indicating that the next version of Android will still be called Jelly Bean and adorn the version number 4.3. This might seem like a major buzzkill to some of you, but I would like to point out that Android 4.2 was very buggy and actually introduced some major new features, so a stability-based incremental update should not be terribly surprising.

2013 Nexus 7 rumored to run on Snapdragon - but which one?

The Android blogosphere has been lit up today with stories based on a report from Reuters that this year's version of the Nexus 7 will feature a 1080p display, ship "around July" and run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor instead of its predecessor's NVIDIA Tegra chipset. Most of the focus has been on the display, the shipping date, and NVIDIA losing out to Qualcomm (incidentally, this particular tidbit has been mentioned before), but I'm going to focus on the absence of a particular detail: which Snapdragon will the new tablet use?

Hipsters no longer need fear being left out of the game changing Google Glass announcement. An inside source at Google France confirmed a later release called Google Glass Monocle. The Monocle will feature many of the same functions that we have seen in prior releases, but with a few extras tailored to our ultramodern friends.

Rumors began last week that Motorola would be allowing buyers to customize their phones upon order, and a Google+ post by the recently hired Guy Kawasaki seems to be pointing in that direction. What customizations are actually feasible, as well as the downsides to customization are another question entirely.
