About The Author
Max Moss
Max took the dive into the Android scene back when he exchanged his Motorola Razr for an OG Droid back in 2010. From there, he started avidly keeping up with all of the latest Android news and development. However, it wasn't until later that year when he got a Droid X that he really started to get into the ROMing scene. His first ROM, FlyX by Birdman, still holds a special place in his heart.

Last year, he started his own Android blog, Android Allies. This went well for a while, but now Android Allies is inactive and Max devotes his Android writing to good ol' RootzWiki. Now, with Galaxy Nexus in pocket and Nexus 7 in hand, he strives to bring all the newest ROM news straight to the readers.

Hashcode Strikes Again: CM10.1 on the Kindle Fire 2 [UPDATE: It has landed!]

Hashcode has done it again. Known for his ability to get Android to run on everything from locked down Motorola devices to Kindles to toaster ovens, Hashcode is a genius in the Android scene. Now, he has gotten CM10.1 to run on the Kindle Fire 2. It hasn't been released yet, but there is a video of it running that should get Kindle Fire 2 owners excited.

So there it is. Android 4.2 running on the Kindle Fire 2. If you are an owner, be patient. I'm sure Hashcode will have some info on his Twitter in the coming days. If you aren't an owner, then take a second to reflect on how awesome the Android operating system is and how awesome people like Hashcode are.

UPDATE: Hashcode has released his ROM to the public! You can grab it on XDA here. Please make sure you read everything and know what you are doing. Hashcode doesn't actually have a KF2, so he is relying on the community to test for bugs. If you aren't comfortable using the command line to flash this, perhaps you should wait a bit until the process is made a little more noob friendly.
