AOKP, the popular ROM for women and for men who are secure enough in their manhood to use a ROM with pink unicorns in it, has merged the necessary code to support Sony's Xperia Z and ZL flagships into its github. This means official nightly support begins with the next automatically-built nightly, scheduled for tomorrow. Of course, if you don't want to wait until then and wish to build it for yourself, you might be interested to know that the official guide to building AOKP was also recently updated.

Sony has had my attention since they announced the Xperia Z. I am still intrigued even after having read many negative reviews. As much as I love Xperia Z's design, the software was a cause of concern even though the skin is not that heavy. To allay my concerns, though, today CyanogenMod has released CM 10.1 nightlies for the Xperia Z & the Xperia ZL. CyanogenMod support is almost always a harbinger of good things to come from the development community. It not only is the most popular custom ROM, but most other popular AOSP-based ROMs run on CM's device tree.
