Samsung Unpacked App Suggests Galaxy S3 Name, Tipster Suggests Possible Ceramic Back, Preorders Abound in Germany

As the official unveiling of “the next Galaxy” draws near, the pace of leaks has kicked into overdrive. The official Samsung Unpacked app, now available at the Google Play Store, contains keywords in its description that indicate that the name of “the next Galaxy” is the Galaxy S3, and a tipster has published a photo that might indicate that the back of the Galaxy S3 will be ceramic. Also, “Galaxy S3” preorders have flooded Amazon’s German site (remember that preorder page that went live last week?).

Yet Another Galaxy S III Update (Update: Leaked Benchmark Added)

We promised to keep you up to date on the latest (somewhat credible) developments on the Samsung Galaxy S III as they come, and a trio of new items have come this morning. First, an accessory company has already made a pair of Galaxy S III accessories available. Second, a graphics benchmark test allegedly shows the Galaxy S III beating the competition, including the international version of the HTC One X with the quad-core Tegra 3 chip. Last, but definitely least, Samsung has released a teaser video on its thenextgalaxy.com site. What do these new leaks reveal?

Will the "Next Galaxy" be the Galaxy SII...S?

New indications have come to light among some respected tech blogs that the phone Samsung is unveiling on May 3rd will be merely an “incremental upgrade” to the Galaxy SII. Furthermore, the “Next Galaxy” might not be called the Galaxy SIII.
