The original Boy Genius, Jonathan Geller, has reported a leaked Summer/Fall 2012 roadmap for Verizon smartphones, and, according to him, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is included among them. What other phones await Verizon customers in the coming months? Will they be worth waiting for if you’re currently eligible for an upgrade? As the official unveiling of “the next Galaxy” draws near, the pace of leaks has kicked into overdrive. The official Samsung Unpacked app, now available at the Google Play Store, contains keywords in its description that indicate that the name of “the next Galaxy” is the Galaxy S3, and a tipster has published a photo that might indicate that the back of the Galaxy S3 will be ceramic. Also, “Galaxy S3” preorders have flooded Amazon’s German site (remember that preorder page that went live last week?).

We promised to keep you up to date on the latest (somewhat credible) developments on the Samsung Galaxy S III as they come, and a trio of new items have come this morning. First, an accessory company has already made a pair of Galaxy S III accessories available. Second, a graphics benchmark test allegedly shows the Galaxy S III beating the competition, including the international version of the HTC One X with the quad-core Tegra 3 chip. Last, but definitely least, Samsung has released a teaser video on its thenextgalaxy.com site. What do these new leaks reveal?

New indications have come to light among some respected tech blogs that the phone Samsung is unveiling on May 3rd will be merely an “incremental upgrade” to the Galaxy SII. Furthermore, the “Next Galaxy” might not be called the Galaxy SIII. With the number of conflicting reports that have come out that now put into question the forward-looking nature of this phone, we have to ask a pretty unhappy question: What other features might actually be available on this new smartphone?
