Sense 5.1 with Android 4.2.2 system dump leaked for the HTC Butterfly: Ports Inbound?

May 08 2013 08:10 PM | Kidromulous in Leaks

HTC has a fairly poor track record for timely Android updates and leaving a few of their handsets stranded has done nothing for its rapport with the community. Lately, though it seems that HTC is renewing its promise to keep its devices up to date and in a timely fashion. For example, there is already an update to the One in the queue right now that will give Stateside HTC One owners improved camera, audio, battery life, and performance. Perhaps another early sign of this renewed committment is a system dump that was recently leaked: Sense 5.1 and Android 4.2.2 for the HTC Butterfly (the international counterpart to the Droid DNA).

This saddened and enraged many owners of the device, and rightfully so. The device wasn't even a year old when Ice Cream Sandwich launched. Now, Atrix owners can flash this leak and get a taste of what is hopefully coming.

Unfortunately, for Thunderbolt owners, this update was not listed with the leaked screen shots which show the Android devices which are receiving an Android 4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update.
