Currently the hardware we have is not adequate for the number of concurrent connections we are running, and our buildbox is getting to the point where it is under a high load 24 hours a day. For these reasons we need to reach out again and try to get enough to comfortably transition to some higher end hardware to improve stability and speed. Since we try to avoid forcing people to pay for anything related to this site, and all developer services being free, we don't really make enough money to pay for the kind of server hardware we are needing to push 5 million + android related files per month and building thousands of roms per month on our buildbox. Our current distribution servers need constant work to keep them online, and the problem is only getting worse.In order to keep goo.im fast, awesome, and free, we need to ask our users to help keep us afloat by making a contribution. 100% of all donations will go directly towards server hardware for everyone to enjoy.
