SwitchMe Brings Multiple Accounts to Rooted Devices
The power of root is growing daily, with developers taking advantage of the privileges granted by taking full control of their devices. One thing that's always been lacking though, is the ability to host "guest" accounts on an Android device. Now, that ability is available with a new app called SwitchMe.
RootzReviews: Powerbag Deluxe Backpack
One of the most frustrating things to deal with is finding yourself out and about with a device that has no power left. For one reason or another, from accidental pocket dials to watching too many movies while on the treadmill at the gym, we've all found ourselves in the position of needing to make a call or send a text and not having enough battery left to complete the task. The solutions aren't necessarily that fun - either live tethered to a power outlet or USB port, or dial down your phone's settings so low that it may as well be off when you're not in range of a charger. A solution presented itself at this year's CES, and we've got it here to show you today.
Electronic Frontier Foundation Appeals for Help
Now twelve years old, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act was created with good intentions to prevent piracy. Unfortunately, it’s been unable to keep up with changes in technology since then and the Electronic Frontier Foundation would like to right some wrongs. In 2010 the DMCA was amended to prevent jailbreaking a device being a crime and while the name of this site is not jailbreakwiki.com this is big news for communities such as ours. The EFF is on a mission to protect all that we hold dear (in the form of rooting phones).

Now she's back, in conjunction with SteV-O, with a new Android app called Owtsee, a web and mobile app that shows you what public resources are around you.

Lytro - Coming To A Smartphone Near You?
Lytro's camera employs technology that is called a light-field sensor. This sensor allows users to repeatedly focus and refocus an image after it's been shot. The sensor does this by capturing the entire light field, which is all the light traveling in every direction, in every point in space or dimension.
Razr XT910 Gets Leaked ICS Update
For all of you happy GSM Razr owners out there, you'll love to know that there is a leaked Ice Cream Sandwich update ready to be flashed to your device! Hopefully, this will be the start of a trend of ICS updates for the more powerful gingerbread phones.
LG Spectrum Walkthrough [Video]
We recently went hands-on with the new LG Spectrum, which was announced at CES and released on January 19th. This Gingerbread-packing handset has a lot to love, and comes at a price lower than comparable devices like the RAZR Maxx and Galaxy Nexus.
Wave Your Arms Like an Idiot with Kinect and Android
Let's face it, buttons just aren't any fun these days. I mean, who wants to take the time to actually have to physically touch something for it to do your bidding? This is 2012, bring on the hoverboards, holographic display, and more importantly, gesture controlled devices. Well, device hacker DDRBoxman has fashioned his Android to work with just a few swipes of the hand thanks to a screen projector and little Microsoft tool known as Kinect.
